  • Taking photos for gallery exhibitions, artworks, opening receptions, and other pop-up events

  • Utilize your expertise in composition, lighting, and posing to deliver exceptional photographs

  • Collaborate with the curatorial team, marketing team, and creative directors

  • Manage photography equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and readiness

  • Ensure that all Sojourner Gallery photography maintains standards for quality and consistency

  • Ensure maintenance and implementation of the color management system

  • Retouch and format images to meet specific needs

  • Participate in an ongoing conversation to shape the workflow

  • Participate in pre-production and pre-exhibition meetings


  • Bachelor’s degree in photography or a related digital fine arts degree is required

  • The position requires knowledge in an archival or museum setting, with at least two years in imaging for digital display

  • Proficiency in operating professional cameras, lenses, photography, and lighting equipment

  • Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suit and CaptureOne is required

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize against goals and simultaneously juggle multiple projects

  • Mac fluency is required

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

  • Experience in video shooting and editing is preferred
