Sojourner Gallery is pleased to announce our first show of 2021, Classic of Mountains and Seas featuring artist Li Mo. The exhibition is on view from August 5, 2021, to August 22, 2021. These works are inspired by gods and landscapes in an Ancient Chinese myth called "Classic of Mountains and Seas." The color palette is referenced from fashion details of Chinese ethnic minorities.

While contemplating and creating these works, it has dawned on me that the Eastern Oriental traditions can be expressed into contemporary mediums through ingenious transformation.
