   9. Portfolio:

  • Collections of representative works (10 max) with introductions (500 words max.)

  • Displaying applicants’ artistic features and personal styles and thoughts.

  • The original work can be painting, installation, sculpture, multimedia and any other type or media of art. 

  • Documents must be sent in MP3, MP4, MOV,  PDF, PNG, JPG or Word format.

  • Files should be titled as:

Name of the artist and the work, category/ material, size, and creation year.

Example: John, SNOW, Oil on canvas, 60 x 60, 2018

Only pdf format applications will be accepted. Please name your file as "your name-SIAR application - date of submission" (e.g. Smith John-SIAR Application-20190825).   5. 艺术家签证情况说明（如是否办理过旅游B1/B2签证、是否有O1艺术家签证）

  6. 艺术家赞助人（例如画廊、基金会、艺术家本人等）（格式：姓名-职位-联系方式）

  7. 推荐信（文档命名：申请者姓名 - 推荐信）

  8. 紧急联系人

  9. 艺术家作品集:

  • 不超过10件艺术家代表作品，以及不超过500字的作品介绍

  • 代表作品图文信息主要为艺术家创作过程中富有本人艺术特质、充分体现其艺术面貌的代表作品。

  • 作品可以是绘画、装置、雕塑、多媒体以及任何其他媒介类型的艺术创作。

  • 作品文件上传形式应为MP3, MP4, MOV,  PDF, PNG, JPG or Word format.

  • 文件应以标准格式命名（作者-名称-类别/材料-尺寸-年代）

驻留期间项目计划主要为艺术家初步草拟的艺术创作方案，其中可包含总体计划以及实施过程中可能涉及材料、空间、人员配合需求等内容，申请者可根据特定的项目要求制定符合的创作方案。方案须为中英文。

 

驻留申请表则是本次驻留计划的主要申请表，请前往下载【相关文件】【PDF预览】并填写。填写内容须为中英文。标星*内容为必填内容。

填写完成的申请表文档命名：申请者姓名 - 申请表。

审查流程

Review Process


 

  • 申请人将申请资料发送至Time Arts Sojourn国际艺术家纽约驻留项目

  • Time Arts项目工作委员会在一个月内完成申请审查

  • 如果申请成功，申请人会收到项目接受邮件通知

  • 录取后，Time Arts会向申请人确认其赞助人，为申请人承担在纽约驻留期间的所有费用。赞助人的形式可包括但不限于基金会、画廊或申请人本人。

  • 赞助人确认后，Time Arts工作人员会与申请人确认驻留日期

  • 申请人需要有合法美国签证。

  • 此期间Time Arts工作人员会与申请人保持沟通，确保顺利抵达纽约。

 

  • Application is sent to Time Arts.

  • Time Arts' panel reviews the application within one months.

  • If the application is successful, the applicant receives an acceptance letter.

  • When funding has been secured by applicant, Time Arts confirms directly with sponsor. Residencies cannot be self-funded or crowdfunded.

  • When sponsor has confirmed, Time Arts staff and applicant schedule residency.

  • If necessary, applicant must apply for a US visa (see below).

  • Applicant makes appointment with Time Arts staff and arrives in New York.

1)展览推广

  • 为艺术家建立中英文网页。在社交媒体推广艺术家及参与的相关活动，包括 Instagram, Facebook, Wechat official platform等。

  • 通过美国最有影响力的网络当代艺术平台Artsy，发布艺术家作品、展览，以及线上作品销售。

  • Time Arts SIAR有权使用申请人的文件(包括申请人的肖像和简历)、作品(包括音频、视频、图像和文字)进行相关的线上和线下推广活动。

  • 艺术家将有机会根据驻留计划开设工作坊，艺术家讲座，访问当地艺术家工作室等。

  • 艺术家将有机会根据作品的风格，组织或推荐参加个展、年度团体展览、学术交流、沙龙、讲座、研讨会等相关交流教育活动。

  • 艺术家将有机会成为Time Arts 的签约艺术家或其他形式的深度合作

1)Exhibition and promotion

  • Time Arts will build web-pages in both Chinese and English for artists’ promotion. Time Arts will promote artist and show via social media, e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Wechat official platform, etc.

  • Time Arts will post artist and exhibition on Artsy. Time Arts will post and sale artworks on Artsy.

  • Time Arts SIAR has the right to use applicants’ documents (including applicants’ portraits and CVs), artworks (including audios, videos, images, and texts) for related online and off-line promotion activities.

  • Artist will have opportunities to do workshops/artist talk/studio visit according to the residency plan.

  • Artist will have chances to participate in annual group exhibition, salons, lectures, seminars, and other related exchanges according to the artworks’ style.


 

2)工作室/工作区

私人或共享的工作室/工作空间提供基本的艺术材料和其他材料可以根据艺术家的项目在有限的预算资助。

2)Studio/ workspace

Private or shared studios/work space is provided with basic art materials and other materials can be financed according to the artist’s project within a limited budget.


 

3)住宿

  • 包括家具和设备。空调，浴室，洗衣机和wi-fi。 

  • 包括基本生活必需品。

  • 特殊需求根据需要可提前协商。

3)Accommodation

  • Private bedrooms are furnished and equipped. The air conditioning, bathroom, washing machine and wi-fi Internet. 

  • Basic necessities are included.

  • Any special requirements should be negotiated in advance.


 

4)其他援助

  • 艺术家将有机会亲手学习与实践修复古董油画和古董画框。

  • 如果艺术家的驻留项目需要任何形式的技术援助，艺术家可以提前与Time Arts协商。

4)Technical assistance

  • Artist will have opportunity to learn how to make antique frames and conservation on antique oil paintings.

  • If any kind of technical assistance is needed according to the artists’ residency project, the artist can negotiate with Time Arts in advance.

Expectation for Artists


 

Time Arts SIAR纽约驻留项目2020年起滚动式接受艺术家申请。录取后，艺术家需负责寻找赞助人，为艺术家承担在纽约驻留期间的所有费用。赞助人的形式可包括但不限于基金会、画廊或艺术家本人。

Once accepted, artists are responsible for securing funding/sponsorship. Funding and sponsorship can come from different resources. Such as foundation/grants, gallery, artist him/herself.

 

驻留费用：3000美元/月

1 ) 工作室/工作空间和住宿

参与的艺术家应负责确保卧室和工作室或工作空间不受损害。

1 ) Studio/ workspace and accommodation

Participating artists should take the responsibility for ensuring the bedroom is without damage, as well as the studios or workspace.


 

2 ) 展示推广

  • 在入驻前及入驻期间，参展艺术家应向Time Arts提供相关信息，进行相关宣传推广。

  • 艺术家应参加由Time Arts组织的工作室互动、学术讨论、沙龙、讲座或相关的教育交流活动。

2 ) Exhibition and promotion

  • Before and during residency, participating artists should offer related information to Time Arts for related publicity and promotion.

  • Artists should take part in studio interaction, academic discussions, salons, lectures or related educational exchanges that are organized by Time Arts.


 

3 ) 捐赠

  • 经艺术家同意，经甲乙双方共同选择并协商后，将一件或多件在该驻留期间或之前创作的作品捐赠给Time Arts。Time Arts有权以拍卖或其他形式销售该作品，取得的收入以帮助SIAR项目的运营。

  • Time Arts收到捐赠作品后，将向艺术家颁发收藏证书，并在入驻后的场合展出捐赠作品。

  • 在驻留期间创作的艺术品(捐赠给Time Arts的作品除外)归申请人艺术家所有，相关交通费用由申请人自行承担。

3 ) Donation

  • With the artist’s consent, a piece of work or works created before or during the residency will be donated to Time Arts 2020 Sojourn International Artist Residency after selection and negotiation between both parties.

  • Time Arts will offer artists the Certificate of Collection when received the donation and exhibited the donated artwork on occasions after the residency.

  • Artworks (except works donated to Trans’ art International Artist Residency Program) created during the residency are owned by applicants(artists) themselves and whose related expenses of transportation shall be paid by themselves.


 

4 ) 费用

  • 日常交通费用由艺术家承担。

  • 在驻留期间发生的任何个人费用，包括医疗费用，均由艺术家承担。

  • 部分住宿和工作室费用

4 ) Costs

  • The cost of transportation to and from the residence is artists’ responsibility.

  • Any personal expenses incurred during the residency, including medical expenses, are responsibility of the artist.

  • Artist should cover partial rent fee for accommodation and studio space


 

5 ) 确认驻留资格后

申请人需签订驻留合同，领取签证邀请函，并通过电子邮件正式向本国驻当地领事馆申请媒体支持和项目支持，为Time Arts Sojourn国际艺术家纽约驻留项目提供更多帮助。

5 ) After confirming the residency qualification

Applicants shall sign a residency contract to get the invitation letter for their visa and then formally email their own consulate to apply for media support and project support in order to give more help to Time Arts 2020 Sojourn International Artist Residency.

2020 Sojourn International Artist Residency starts the new open call. Artists have opportunities to participant academic exchanges, studio visits, art creation, exhibitions and other activities via Time Arts SIAR during the one-to-three month residency in New York.

 

In Time Arts SIAR, artists can find like-minded companions to explore artistic creation and life together.
